A reserve battalion
of the Ukrainian National Guard is going on duty in the Izium-Sloviansk
region on April 15 - Mykola Velychkovych,
the Deputy Interior Minister informed.
The battalion is comprised of members of the Maydan Self-Defense Unit and 350 reservists, who have
undergone training at the Novi Petrivtsi training
The battalion's mobilization was announced today at 9:00 a.m. Reservists
are arriving to the point of assembly to receive instructions and to get
uniforms and weapons.
"The main task of the battalion is to suppress
acts of terrorism, to localize the seat of separatism and control the situation
in the region" – Velychkovych underlined.
