Discussion of protection of the Israeli citizens and their safety in territory of Ukraine during events which took place recently in our state became the purpose of a meeting.

The conversation covered  strengthening of protection of Embassy of Israel in Ukraine, and protection of religious objects and that which are related to the Jewish community.

Anti-Semitism topics were brought up too, on what the Ukrainian party noted that such manifestations on the territory of our state aren’t present, and work on their prevention is constantly conducted.

Attendee discussed general questions of safety of the Israeli citizens during annual cult events in Cherkassy on the occasion of celebrating of days Rosh-Ha-Shana (a New Year on a Judaic calendar). In particular, it was the question of safety of air flights and moving by motor transport of pilgrims, and their residing in territory of Ukraine.

According to the Minister, it is the cooperation between Ukrainian and Israeli police forces plays a very significant role.

Protection of public order and safety during carrying out of cult annual pilgrimage are the essential goals which are entrusted to the law enforcement agencies.

Hence, it is the cooperation between Ukrainian policemen and the Israel police that plays an essential role in safeguarding of public order during the events, Arsen Avakov noted.

Also, in May citizens of Israel celebrate the next anniversary of Independence Day of the state. Thus, one of questions that was risen has been accented on the organization of the events connected with this holiday.

In conclusion, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine Reuven Din El expressed his hope that their citizens and religious objects are under reliable protection, and cooperation on fight against crime between two states will be continued.
